REVISITING LANDSCAPES, 1995

Revisiting Landscape at the California Center for the Arts Museum from January 14 to May 7, 1995 examined the landscape genre's past, seen through the kaleidoscope of contemporary interpretation. The exhibit showcased both late 19th and early 20th-century works—those radiant landscapes from San Diego, Laguna, and Pasadena—and the more introspective, modern interpretations that highlighted the evolving role of abstraction in representing nature.
